Driver Ejected When Vehicle Overturns On I-75

A motorist was injured Friday morning in a single vehicle along Interstate 75 in Bartow County.

The Georgia State Patrol received the call of the wreck at 10:10 a.m. Oct. 9 along the northbound side of the interstate near mile marker 280.
An initial investigation and witness statements indicate a male driving a silver Jeep Cherokee ”lost control of the vehicle while traveling northbound on I-75, and struck the inside median guardrail,” said GSP spokesperson Tracey Watson.

“After impact, the vehicle overturned in the median and the male was ejected from the vehicle,” Watson added.
The victim, whose identity has not been confirmed, was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for injuries.
Watson said speed ”will be a contributing factor in the crash.” The accident remains under investigation. Return to Patch for updates.
