Early Voting Underway In Bartow County For Runoff Election

The Dec. 4 runoff will feature Republican Brad Raffensperger and Democrat John Barrow vying to become Georgia's next secretary of state.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Early voting for the Tuesday, Dec. 4 general election runoff began Monday, Nov. 26, and Bartow County residents are encouraged to cast their ballots ahead of time to avoid potentially long lines on Election Day.

Early voting will be held through Friday, Nov. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bartow County Voter Registration & Elections Office at 1300 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cartersville Civic Center at 435 West Main Street.

Please remember that if you choose to vote on Election Day, you have to cast your ballot at your assigned precinct.

Also on the ballot for select voters is the runoff to elect the next District 3 representative for the Georgia Public Service Commission. Incumbent Republican Chuck Eaton and Democratic challenger Lindy Miller are in the runoff for the seat, which covers Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton and Rockdale counties.

Residents can verify their voter eligibility in this election by visiting www.mvp.sos.ga.gov. Please note that if you do not vote early, you will have to cast your ballot at your designated polling place on Dec. 4
