Cherokee Democrats Host Candidate Rally/Fundraiser

The Cherokee County Democratic Party will host a rally/fundraiser for Democratic Party candidates running in the newly re-drawn 11th Congressional District.  Key speakers include two Cherokee County candidates: U.S. Congressional Candidate Patrick Thompson running to oust embattled Phil Gingrey in the newly redistricted territory; and Lillian “Faye” Burnaman, a special education teacher competing for State House District 20 to give educators and local school districts more of a voice in the GA State legislature.

Other candidates speaking include Bartow's own Lelia Benham running for State House District 15, statewide candidate Steven Oppenheimer for Public Service Commission,  Kevin "Big Kev" Westphal for State House District 46 in Cobb, and Akhtar Sadiq running for State Senate District 56 in N. Fulton.  Please Pre-register at www.cherokeedemocrats.com. $10.00 admission per person.
