FBI Increases Reward To Locate Missing Cartersville Mom

Heather Dianne McDonald, 27, was last seen around 7 p.m. Sept. 18 in the vicinity of U.S. 411 and Interstate 75.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The FBI is increasing the stakes in its request for assistance in locating the Cartersville mother who has been missing for six weeks.

The agency announced Tuesday that it's increasing its reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the recovery of Heather Dianne McDonald and/or the "identification which leads to the conviction of those involved in her disappearance."

McDonald, 27, was last seen in the area of US-411 and I-75 in Cartersville around 7 p.m. Sept. 18 wearing yoga pants and a tank top. Her vehicle, a red Jeep Wrangler, was located in the parking lot of the Courtesy Inn at 2335 US-411 the morning of Sept. 19.

The vehicle was unlocked and the keys and McDonald's belongings were still inside, the FBI states.

McDonald is described as a white female, about 5'2" tall, 105 pounds, with brown eyes and wavy, shoulder length brown hair.

The FBI and the Bartow County Sheriff's Office is assisting the Cartersville Police Department in its investigation.
