Funeral On Tuesday For Man Who Died In Car Accident

Cody Blake Knight, age 19, of Cedartown, Ga., passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.

Cody was born on Nov. 27, 1996, in Rome, Ga., a son of Keith Knight and Tonya Oliver Knight. Cody was a 2015 graduate of Cedartown High School and was attending Georgia Northwestern Technical College. He was employed by TLS Electric and attended the Pine Bower Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Robert and Ruby Dempsey, Sam and Susie Knight and Dean Stevens and Tommy Stevens and his grandfather, Lacie "Cowboy" Folsom.

Cody Knight is survived by his father, Keith Knight, his mother, Tonya Oliver Knight; his twin brother, Corey Knight, his brother Avery Knight, his sister, Addyson Knight; grandparents, Ann and Darrell Knight and Shelia Folsom; uncles, Dallas Folsom and Brian Knight and his girlfriend, Jennifer Sandoval. A number of great uncles and aunts and cousins also survive.

The funeral for Cody Knight will be conducted on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from the Pine Bower Baptist Church at 4 p.m. with Rev. Earl Wigley and Rev. Casey Lyle officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pine Bower Cemetery. Cody will lie in state at the Pine Bower Baptist Church from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Knight family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Corey Knight, Ryan Fincher, Nick Wigley, Matt Truett, Brian Knight, Dallas Folsom, Austin Lee and Tyler Crawford. Dakota Timms, Dawson Timms and Mason Gore will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
