Georgia Highlands To Celebrate 10th Anniversary of Cartersville Campus

Georgia Highlands College will host a 10-year celebration event next week for its Cartersville campus.

The event will start with a ribbon cutting for the campus’ new College and Career Center at 11 a.m. Aug. 19. The 10-year celebration will continue at 11:30 a.m. with a cake cutting, food, drinks and several related activities.

GHC’s Cartersville branch began in 1995 on Gilmer Street. Construction began on a new campus in 2002 on S.R. 20, just west of I-75, and opened for classes in 2005.

According to GHC’s website, the campus serves over 2,000 students. In addition to the academic building, this campus also includes recreational facilities, a “grab and go” food service area, campus club space and an enlarged bookstore.

The campus is located at 5441 Highway 20 NE.
