Hampton Inn To Hire 30 Employees For New Hotel

The Georgia Department of Labor will help Hampton Inn staff a new hotel, which is scheduled to open in January in Bartow County.

The company will be recruiting 30 workers for its new Hampton Inn at Lake Point from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7 at the Cartersville Career Center, which is located at 19 Felton Place.
The hotel is recruiting assistant general managers, executive housekeepers, housemen, front desk agents and breakfast hosts.

Those who apply for the assistant general manager positions must have at least two years of hotel management experience, a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of college attendance, along with the ability to type at least 50 words a minute.
Executive housekeeper applicants must have at least two years of experience in the housekeeping field, be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Housemen must have at least one year of maintenance experience, including plumbing, drywall, electrical, and landscaping work. They must also have a high school diploma or GED and a valid class C driver’s license.
While no experience is required to be a front desk agent, applicants must be able to type at least 25 words per minute and have a high school diploma or a GED.
Breakfast hosts must be at least 18 years old and have at least six months of experience in a restaurant or kitchen. Salaries range from $8 an hour for the front desk agents and the breakfast hosts to $25,000 a year for the assistant general managers.
The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests. Applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately to increase their opportunities for employment. They also must complete a company application and be prepared for an interview with the employer.
