Home Invasion Suspects To Victim: Police Are Coming To Take You To Jail

The following information was obtained from an incident report released by the Bartow County Sheriff's Office.

ACWORTH, GA -- The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent home invasion and armed robbery reported late last week in the Acworth area.

Officers responded to a mobile home on Camp Road around 8:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. The victim told police she was in her kitchen when an unknown man "entered her unlocked residence."

The man, who was wearing a dark stocking over his face, "pointed a black gun at her head then he grabbed her and put both her arms behind her back and pushed her head down and forced her to a back bedroom," according to an incident report released by the sheriff's office.

The suspect, the woman told police, shoved her to the ground and asked, "where are the drugs and money?"

Another male suspect identified himself as "the police," the report states.

Along with taking her purse and cell phone, the woman told deputies one suspect allegedly put clothing items over her head and face so she could not see him. At that point, one suspect searched one room of the house while the other rummaged through another bedroom.

The men were in the house for about one hour, the report states. After their search, the suspects "came back into the room with a belt, and tied up her hands and told her the police are coming to take her to jail."

The victim said she was forced to put her head down on the floor and was covered up with clothing already in the room.

"The next thing she heard was someone ask her if she was alright (sic)," the report said, noting the victim referred to the person as a family friend.

According to the report, the first suspect is described as a heavy-set black male who was about 6 feet tall and weights about 270 pounds. No other physical descriptions were given other than he possibly had a mustache. The victim said she did not get a good look at the second suspect, so she could not provide a description of him.

They also were dressed in all black clothing with dark shoes. Both men were also wearing gloves and stockings to conceal their identities. Both men were seen leaving in a gold passenger vehicle.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 770-382-5050.
