Jobless Residents Can Make Trek to Northwest GA Career Expo
It's a little more than an hour's drive away, but the trip to Walker County might be worth it if you can find a job.
A high unemployment rate in Bartow County might make the 64-mile drive to the 2013 Northwest Georgia Career Expo a little less painful next Wednesday, March 27.
Northwest Georgia job seekers will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from more than 35 companies who are looking to fill vacant positions during the career expo Wednesday, March 27, from 1- 4 p.m.
The career expo is being hosted by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL), the Walker County Chamber of Commerce, and the Northwest Georgia Joint Development Authority. It will be at the Walker County Civic Center located at 10052 N. Highway 27 in Rock Spring.
