Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:

  1. Luxury RV park underway: Winding Waters Riverfront RV Resort CFO, Matt Womack, says the new RV park will be "the perfect launching pad to explore all that Cartersville and the greater Northwest Georgia area has to offer." Due early 2023, Winding Waters will feature 252 sites, including cabins and glamping tents. In addition to a resort-style pool with waterslide, the RV resort will also feature a splash pool, lazy river, a large clubhouse and poolside cabana. (Northwest Georgia News)
  2. New sports complex near completion at GHC: A new baseball and softball complex is under construction at the Georgia Highlands College Cartersville campus. The ball fields will be outfitted with a turf designed to mimic natural grass. In addition to the fields, the new complex will include a 5,000-square-foot hitting facility, concessions stands and more. (highlands.edu)
  3. Highlights of the Cartersville Board of Education meeting: During a regular session meeting hosted at Cartersville High School, the Cartersville City Schools Board of Education named its teacher and students of the month and proclaimed November as "National Runaway and Homeless Youth Prevention Month."
