“McGlorie had been staying at homeless shelters in the New Orleans area and also has family in New Orleans,” Camp stated.

A Cartersville police officer was dispatched to an apartment on Old Mill Road around 2:20 a.m. April 22. The officer met with the woman, who was ”bleeding from her head, torso, neck and arms,” an incident report from the agency states.

The woman was sitting in the living room of the apartment, which the officer said had a trail of blood droplets leading to the bedroom, the report notes.

The victim told the officer she and McGlorie “were romantically involved” and she woke up to the suspect allegedly stabbing her with a pocket knife, according to the report. The woman said she ran out of the bedroom and called 911.

A witness reported she saw McGlorie allegedly run from the apartment covered in blood, the report states. The witness also said the man allegedly put on another shirt to cover the blood-stained shirt he was wearing. She noted McGlorie was also wearing a white shirt and gym shorts at the time of the incident.

Camp said McGlorie is awaiting extradition back to Bartow County.
