Man Charged With Murder In Bartow County
Tevin Ray Harris is charged in connection to the beating death of a 74-year-old man last month at his Cartersville home.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A Dalton resident has been booked into the Bartow County Jail on a murder charge in connection to the beating death of an elderly man was found dead inside his Cartersville home. Records show the sheriff's office has charged Tevin Ray Harris with one count each of murder and armed robbery.
Harris was booked into the jail on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Those records also show Harris's charges are connected to an incident reported on Aug. 27, the same day sheriff's deputies found the body of 74-year-old James Edward Stephens, who "had been deceased for some time" before his discovery, the agency previously told Patch.

Earlier this month, detectives arrested Cartersville residents Rachel Savannah Ridley 19, and Keisa Rena Cone, 20. Both are charged with murder and armed robbery and remain held without bail. Sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers previously told Patch a third arrest was expected in the case.
