Man Found Dead Along I-75 in Bartow County
Sheriff's office investigators believe the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The body of an unidentified male was discovered Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area along Interstate 75 in Bartow County.
The discover was made during the afternoon hours near mile marker 303, which is situated between the Cass-White Road and Adairsville interchanges.
Bartow County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said the man, described as a white male, was found near a vehicle believed to be his.

"We believe he was missing (not from this area) and that he died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound," Rogers said in a statement.
Sheriff's office investigators are waiting on positive identification from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's medical examiner so they can contact the man's next of kin.
