Man Robbed, Shot In Arm In Bartow County
The victim said he was meeting a woman at an abandoned home on Etowah Drive when she showed up with the three alleged assailants.

ACWORTH, GA -- A resident has been transported to an area hospital after he was shot Thursday afternoon in southern Bartow County.
Deputies with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office were dispatched around 12:55 p.m. May 12 to the area of 4219 Etowah Drive in unincorporated Acworth in response to a 22-year-old Kennesaw man who said he'd been robbed and assaulted by three male suspects.

The victim said he was meeting a woman at an abandoned home. When she arrived, she was accompanied by the alleged assailants, the sheriff's office said. Two of the male suspects, according to the agency, were armed with a pistol and rifle.
According to an incident report released by the agency, the men approached the victim and demanded he hand over his belongings. Once he complied, the victim said he was shot in his upper right arm, the report notes.

The only physical description the victim gave to deputies were that the suspects were all black men who wore black clothing and masks. One attacker, the victim said, had dreadlocks. The alleged suspects fled the scene in a tan or brown Honda passenger vehicle, which the sheriff's office notes has the design of model years 1999 to 2001.
Bartow County Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Brad Cothran said the victim was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment.
The sheriff's office notes the injury does not appear to be life-threatening. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 770-382-5050.
