Man, Teen Injured in Motorcycle Accident

EUHARLEE, GA -- Two people were transported to area hospitals following a motorcycle accident Friday evening in Bartow County.

Bartow County Emergency Medical Services personnel from Fire Station No. 3 in Euharlee were dispatched to the accident, which occurred around 6:20 p.m. March 25 on Sewell Road near the Bartow-Polk county line, spokesperson Brad Cothran said.

Crews arrived on the scene and found two patients, a 58-year-old male and a 13-year-old female passenger, with various injuries.

Cothran said the man was discovered to have head and chest trauma, and was also suffering from respiratory distress. That patient was transported by helicopter to a level-one trauma center for treatment.

The teenager was conscious and alert at the scene, but suffered abrasions, Cothran added. She was transported to Floyd Medical Center where she was treated.
