In Memory: David Alan Holland, 55, Shaw Industries Machinist
The Aragon resident died April 2 in an accident while working at the company's Plant 15 in Cartersville.

Mr. David Alan Holland age 55 of Aragon, Georgia, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 2, 2016.

David was born June 29, 1960, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late Floyd Holland and the late Melissa Moates Locklear Holland. He was a member of the Sardis Southern Congregational Methodist Church.
David was a graduate of the Rockmart High School Class of 1978 and studied engineering at Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Highlands College. He was presently employed by Shaw Industries – Plant 15 in Cartersville as a machinist.

In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Wanda Garrison. Survivors include his loving wife, Wendy Blais-Meeker Holland of Aragon; two young children, Lily and Raymond; brother, Danny Holland; nieces, Tara Rainwater, Krista Owens, Karlee Helms and Tammy Thomason; nephews, Chad Garrison and Ryan Helms; brother-in-law, Tommy Garrison; aunts, Jeanie Moates and Ruby Moates; uncles, Gene Moates and Wilbur Holland; and hundreds of cherished friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Holland will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 2 p.m. in the Sardis Southern Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Talmadge Pope officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of the church cemetery.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers: Ryan Helms, Randy Moon, Barry Cochran, Chuck Copeland, Richard Hardin and Jerry Wilson.
