In Memory: Mary Kathleen Sweet, 74, Always The Life Of The Party

Mrs. Mary Kathleen Sweet, 74, of Cartersville, GA passed away July 7, 2015. She was born in Maynardville, TN on April 17, 1941, to the late Herbert and Carrie Johnson. Mary enjoyed a career in the restaurant industry as a manager. She loved to sing and loved country music. Mary was always the life of the party. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mary will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, James Sweet and brother, Everett “Bud” Johnson.

Mary leaves behind her sons, James Neal Sweet and wife Barbara, Gary Wayne Sweet, Chad Jeffery Sweet and wife Angie and Scott Sweet and wife Julia, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Bernice Cook, and many special nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mary will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
