Mobile Home Fire Kills Woman, Injures Husband Trying To Save Her
A Sunday-morning fire in the Allatoona community killed a woman, injured her husband and destroyed the mobile home where they lived.
BARTOW COUNTY — A woman died and her husband was injured trying to save her in a Sunday morning mobile-home fire in the Allatoona community.
WBHF Community radio reports that Bartow County firefighters were dispatched to 49 Walnut Trail at about 8 a.m. Sunday, where they found the mobile home already in flames.
The victim was unidentifiable, according to Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton. Her body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for official identification.

The victim’s husband suffered burns and smoke inhalation trying to save his wife. He was treated at the scene for burns and then taken to WellStar Cobb Hospital.
The fire appears to be accidental and is being investigated by the Bartow County Fire Marshal’s office.
