Mom Delivers Baby Boy In McDonald's Parking Lot
Fire and emergency services crews attended to the birth, which occurred overnight Aug. 10 in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The country's most popular fast food restaurant is most likely not on your list of places where you'd want to welcome a child into the world.
However, nature had other plans for a woman overnight Wednesday in Bartow County, as she had no choice but to deliver her son in a McDonald's parking lot in Cartersville.
Crews with the Cartersville Fire Department and Bartow County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to a call of the birth in action around 2 a.m Aug. 10 at the fast food joint at 1130 West Avenue.

Once the delivery was successfully completed, crews medically assessed both mother and the newborn baby boy and transported the pair to Cartersville Medical Center for follow-up care.
