Abused Teen Sent to L.A. To Fend for Himself, Authorities Say

The Los Angeles Police Department with the help of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in the wake of a child abuse case that originated in Dallas.

Just before noon on Sept. 11, two LAPD patrol officers received a call about a possible missing child at a Greyhound Bus Station. When they arrived, they met up with retired LAPD Sgt. Joe Gonzales who was working security for the station. Gonzales directed them to 18-year-old Mitch Comer, whom authorities described as “a pale, gaunt young man of small stature who appeared to be about 12 or 13 years of age.” Later, it was determined he weighed only 87 pounds and stood just over 5 feet tall.

White Water Sexual Misconduct Investigation

Marietta Police are looking into allegations of inappropriate contact made towards female children in the wave pool of White Water amusement park located at 250 Cobb Parkway.

Numerous witnesses have identified a possible suspect described as an older white male between the ages of 50 and 70 with white hair, according to Marietta Police.

Sneiderman's Assets to Remain Frozen

Andrea Sneiderman's  assets will remain frozen after a suit was filed in Fulton County where she banked, according to myfoxatlanta.com.

The lawsuit was originally filed in DeKalb and was dismissed. At issue is $2 million in insurance money Sneiderman received after the death if her husband, Rusty Sneiderman.

SCAD Students Tied up, Robbed in Midtown Dorm Room

Two men allegedly broke into a Savannah College of Art and Design dorm room in Midtown early Wednesday morning and bound and robbed a pair of male students.

Atlanta Police are seeking two black males in connection with the incident that reportedly occurred around 6 a.m. at the Spring House, an on-campus housing facility in the 1400 block of Spring Street.

Brookhaven May Foot $30,000 Bill for Run-offs

With 24 candidates running for the mayoral and four city council seats, Brookhaven is almost guaranteed to have a run-off election on Dec. 4 because in order to win any election in Georgia, a candidate must receive more than 50 percent of the votes cast.

And when Brookhaven has its run-off, it will have to foot the estimated $30,000 bill.
