Pedestrian Killed on I-75 Near Cartersville
The driver of a motor home was changing lanes when he struck a pedestrian near mile marker 298 in Bartow County.

A pedestrian was killed overnight Tuesday morning along Interstate 75 in Bartow County when he was hit by a motor home.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the vehicle, driven by David Slitti, 69, of Carleton, Michigan, was traveling northbound near mile marker 298 around 3 a.m. April 7 when the incident occurred.

Slitti in the process of moving from the center lane to the right lane when he hit a pedestrian with the front of his vehicle, said spokesperson Franka Young.
Young added Slitti “did not see the pedestrian until impact.” The victim, Bobby S. Morris, 42, of Rockmart, was pronounced dead at the scene, Young stated.

Young added there are no pending charges at this time for the driver of the motor home.
