Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle in Cartersville

The 41-year-old victim suffered injuries to his leg and face, and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A 41-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car along a busy highway late Thursday evening in Bartow County.

According to Cartersville police, the accident took place around 11:30 p.m. Oct 27 on U.S. 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway near Grassdale Road.

First responders arrived to find the victim, a male patient, suffering from fractures in his legs and a face injury, said Cartersville police spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer.

Bartow County EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran said the man was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital's ER for treatment.

Bettikofer added there are no charges pending against the driver at this time.
