Here are the top three stories in Cartersville today:
- KLLM Transport Services has acquired refrigerated transporter Quest Global Inc. Operations will continue to run out of the Cartersville location and be branded as KLLM Expedited Services. Quest Global is KLLM's latest addition in its growth strategy in the temperature-controlled shipping sector. (Oneonta Daily Star)
- Developed during the Golden Age of the Indy 500, the "FrontRunners" vehicles include cars designed by Frank Kurtis, A.J. Watson and Lujie Lesovsky. The "FrontRunners" exhibit will be on display through Oct. 2. The Savoy Automobile Museum is located at 3 Savoy Lane in Cartersville. (Northwest Georgia News)
- Cartersville Elementary School welcomes new principal Gary Morris, a 21-year-veteran educator, began his teaching career in Cobb County. He has also served students in Haralson, Douglas and Polk counties. (Facebook)

- 'Wild about Weather' at Tellus Saturday: A special presentation will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday at Tellus Museum. At 1 p.m., join WSB-TV's Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns in the theater for a special lecture about thunderstorms, the science of lightning and predictions for this year's hurricane season. Participants will learn how to make clouds in a bottle, make a cloud viewer to help you identify clouds, experiment with shadows, and learn about star formation. (Northwest Georgia News)

- National 988 crisis hotline has been readied for rollout. It has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Calling, texting or chatting 988 will connect people to trained counselors who will listen, understand, provide support and connect them to resources to assist. The number will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16.
