Residents Can Now Recycle Christmas Trees at Allatoona Lake Locations
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has opened 6 drop-off sites in Cartersville, Woodstock, Canton and Acworth for residents to utilize.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Allatoona Lake Project Office has officially opened its six locations where residents can drop off their undecorated Christmas trees.
The six drop-off locations for the 2014-15 holiday season are:
- Victoria Day Use in Woodstock;
- Galt’s Day Use in Acworth
- Sweetwater Campground overflow parking area in Canton;
- Payne Boat Ramp in Acworth
- Blockhouse 1 (behind Paw Paw’s Convenience Store) fishing jetty in Acworth; and
- Bethany Bridge fishing jetty parking area in Cartersville
All drop-off sites will be marked with flagging tape and starting Dec. 26, residents can drop off their Christmas trees at any of the locations above.

The trees collected will be utilized as part of the fish habitat improvement program, a partnership between federal, state and local governments, as well as several group organizations and businesses.
Also, Bartow County residents can check the county’s website for tree drop off locations set up by Keep Bartow Beautiful.
