Robbery Suspect Arrested Following Police Chase
The victim said he was attacked by a knife-wielding man after he refused to hand over money.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- No one was injured in a robbery attempt and police chase that took place late Thursday morning in Bartow County.
A resident in Emerson called police around 10:51 a.m. Sept. 22 and told dispatchers that he "was attacked with a knife after refusing to give" the suspect money, Police Chief Stan Bradley said.
The victim, who was not injured, followed the suspect after the encounter and dialed 9-1-1. As they continued on I-75 northbound and exited at the Main Street/S.R. 113 interchange, the suspect's vehicle was spotted by a Cartersville police officer.

The suspect drove into the parking lot of the new Kroger shopping center where he got out and attempted to flee on foot. However the suspect, Norman Olbrice of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was captured by Cartersville police, Bradley added.
Charges are pending against Olbrice, and no other injuries were reported, Bradley stated.
