CARTERSVILLE, GA -- One motorist was flown to an Atlanta hospital following a rollover crash on Thursday in Cartersville.

Bartow County Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash on U.S. 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway at the cloverleaf connector. The crew at the scene reported one patient, a 61-year-old woman, with head trauma, spokesperson Brad Cothran said.
EMS crews requested a medical helicopter for "rapid transport" to a level-one trauma center due to the woman's condition, Cothran added.

The patient was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta for treatment.
