“We are still actively looking for parade participants," said Cartersville Mayor and WBHF Station Manager Matt Santini. “Many communities have discontinued their parades. We are working hard to make our better every year. The Fourth of July Parade is one of the community service projects that we have taken on here at WBHF, and a great deal of time and resources are devoted to it by the entire staff.”

Proceeds from the parade will benefit children's charities. You can find an application to take part in the parade by visiting WBHF's website.

Independence Day festivities will continue at Dellinger Park. This community-wide event will feature arts and crafts, children's activities, entertainment and, of course, fireworks. Activities will start at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at the football field at the park.

A kids zone will include inflatable slides, obstacle courses, bounce houses, a Quad Euro Bungee and other activities. Residents can also expect a petting zoo as well as pony and camel rides.

On the Century Bank of Georgia Stage, entertainment will be provided by local acts. Scott Thompson will take the stage from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for an acoustic set, followed by 14-year old Devin Lanning who will perform a montage tribute to Elvis.

After those acts, Scott will team up with the band Peachtree Station at 8 p.m. and take the audience on a musical ride until the fireworks show, which is expected to start around 9:30 p.m.

Superior Plumbing will officer its tof the line air-conditioned restroom trailer for patron’s comfort at the celebration. Admission to Dellinger Park is free and parking is $5 per vehicle.

Organizers predict more than 15,000 people are expected to turn out at the park to celebrate the Fourth of July.
