Teen Shooting Victim Expected To Recover; No Arrests Made

An 18-year-old male was shot multiple times overnight Wednesday at an apartment complex in Cartersville, the Bartow sheriff's office said.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is seeking any and all leads in connection to a shooting that sent an 18-year-old to the hospital overnight Wednesday.

Calls from the apartment complex along Valley View Drive in Cartersville began coming into the Bartow 911 center shortly after 1 a.m. Aug. 23. Deputies arrived to find the male, a Floyd County resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Bartow sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers.

Sheriff Clark Millsap notes the 18-year-old is expected to recover from his injuries. No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting at this point and the case remains active, Sgt. Rogers added.
