One patient, a 13-year-old boy, suffered an apparent "closed head injury," and was transported to WellStar Kennestone hospital for treatment. The second patient ejected from the vehicle, an adult woman, was conscious and alert on the scene, but "was asking repetitive questions," Cothran added.

The woman was also transported to Kennestone Hospital. Five additional motorists suffered minor injuries ranging from small cuts to abrasions, and Cothran said those victims were also transported to Kennestone for treatment.
