Two Charged in Connection to Bartow Shooting Death

Investigators with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two women in connection to the shooting death of a man whose body was found in an industrial parking lot.

Criminal investigators have arrested and charged Stephanie Fawn Gardner, 34, of Cartersville and Elizabeth Morgan Kelley, 24, with party to the crime of felony murder, Sheriff Clark Millsap said on Friday.

Both women are being held without bond at the Bartow County Adult Detention Center.

Bartow sheriff’s deputies and investigators were dispatched around 6:45 a.m. April 7 to 11 Johnson Lane NE/1595 U.S. 411 — Woodright Industries — in reference to a man found lying in the parking lot.

Robert Ashley Carr, 36 of White was unresponsive upon discovery and was pronounced dead. The incident was later determined to be a homicide, as Carr’s body had several gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators have issued additional arrest warrant(s) for another individual involved in the investigation. Further information about this person will be released upon his or her’s arrest, the sheriff’s office stated.
