Wendy's Fails Inspection, But Scores 77, or C, On Follow-Up

Johnboy's Home Cooking also scored a 96, or A, on its follow-up inspection.

The Bartow County Environmental Health Department visited the following establishments to conduct food service scores June 17-24:

  • Observed tea nozzles not properly cleaned and sanitized. CA: Discussed with PIC to take nozzles apart and clean/sanitize everyday
  • Observed potentially hazardous food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit in walk in freezer. See temperatures. COS by PIC, food was discarded if over 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Food over 32 degrees Fahrenheit was moved into walk in cooler
  • Observed potentially harzardous food held using time as a public health control with time marking exceeding the 4 hour limit. CA: Discussed time control with PIC, offered training, COS by PIC
  • Observed coke products expired: 02/09/15, 02/09/15, 02/14/15, 04/17/15, 05/02/15, 05/05/15. COS by PIC, food discarded.
  • Observed containers of food stored on walk in freezer floor. CA: Discussed with PIC to keep all food six inches off the floor throughout the establishment including the walk-in freezer
  • Observed no handwashing signage in the men’s or women’s restrooms. CA: Discussed with PIC to have handwashing signs at all handwashing sinks in establishment.

  • Observed food stored less than six inches from the floor; Observed containers of food stored on walk in cooler floor. CA: Discussed with PIC to keep all food six inches off the floor throughout the establishment including the walk-in freezer.
  • Observed wet sanitizing cloth outside of sanitization bucket. CA: Discussed with PIC about proper storage of wet sanitization cloths when not in use.
  • Observed employees not changing gloves or washing hands in between glove changes after changing tasks, and leaving kitchen.CA: Discussed with PIC about gloving procedures and when to wash, offered training.
