Woman, 18, Charged With Murder In Parking Lot Shooting Death

An 18-year-old Cartersville woman has been arrested in connection to the April shooting death of a Bartow County man.

Bartow County jail records show Rebecca Leeann Dover, 18, was booked into the facility at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and charged with felony murder.

According to The Daily Tribune News, Dover is charged in connection to the April shooting death of Robert Ashley Carr, 36. Sgt. Jonathan Rogers with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office told the newspaper investigators took warrants out for Dover’s arrest months ago, but were not able to locate the Cartersville resident until recently.

In May, two women -- Stephanie Fawn Gardner, 34, and Elizabeth Morgan Kelley, 24, were arrested and charged with party to the crime of felony murder in connection to the case. The sheriff’s office has also charged two Cartersville men -- Arrick Deandrae Camps, 20, and Bernard Mario Dixon, 20, -- with felony murder in the parking lot shooting death.

Bartow sheriff’s deputies and investigators were dispatched around 6:45 a.m. April 7 to 11 Johnson Lane NE/1595 U.S. 411 — Woodright Industries — in reference to a man found lying in the parking lot.

Carr, 36 of White was unresponsive upon discovery and was pronounced dead. The incident was later determined to be a homicide, as Carr’s body had several gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.
