Cartersville, GA -- A 63-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle late Friday evening.

The woman, identified as Hou Jin Dong of Cartersville, was fatally wounded when she was hit by the car around 11:43 p.m. Jan. 29 at the intersection of U.S. 411 and Peeples Valley Road.
Dong was transported to Cartersville Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, said Cartersville police spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer.

No charges are pending for the driver at this time, he added.
