Woman Sentenced To 10 Years in Theft Case
Frances Lynn Law received a 10-year prison sentence earlier this week in Bartow County Superior Court.

A woman has been sentenced to several years in prison after she was convicted on theft and fraud charges.
Frances Lynn Law on Tuesday received a 20-year sentenced, with 10 to serve incarcerated and the remainder to serve on probation. Along with the sentence and probation, Law will also have to:
- pay restitution to victim Gary Howren Construction in the amount of $92,972.25;
- Is banned from all Gary Howren Construction properties;
- Have no direct or indirect contact with victims and named state witnesses; and
- Pay a $5,000 fine plus additional surcharges.
Jesse Vaughn, Law’s attorney, requested bond, as Law plans to appeal her conviction. Bartow County Superior Court Chief Judge David K. Smith granted the request and set a bond amount at $500,000.

A Bartow County jury on Aug. 29 convicted Law on 22 counts of theft by taking, one count secreting property to defraud another and one count of conspiracy to secret property to defraud another.
