Suspect Stole Cigarettes In Smash And Grab Burglary: Cops

The suspect shattered the window of a convenience store, and climbed through the window to take cigarettes, Adairsville police said.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — Adairsville police detectives are looking for the suspect accused of shattering the window of a convenience store and making off with several packs of cigarettes Tuesday morning.

The suspect broke the window of Click Mart at 932 Highway 140 around 9:45 a.m. June 12, climbed through that window, ventured behind the store counter and took the cigarettes before leaving the business, the Adairsville Police Department said. Capt. Louis Dean said the business was closed to customers at that time of day.

She got into the passenger side of a Dodge Stratus and left the premises. Adairsville police describe the suspect as a white female who was wearing a dark-colored hoodie with a "W" embroidered on the front, shorts, sunglasses and sandals.

Adairsville police say while the race and gender of the person behind the wheel of the vehicle is unknown, he or she was captured on cameras wearing black pants, a dark-colored hoodie with a white T-shirt, white socks and dark sandals. The vehicle is either charcoal or gray and has the body style from model years 2001 to 2006.

It's unknown at this time which direction the Dodge traveled in after leaving the convenience store, but Adairsville police say it was last seen at the intersection of Highway 140 at I-75.
