Woman's Purse Stolen From Car At Manning Mill Park

The victim said she was walking on the trail at the park when her purple purse was taken on Thursday, April 26.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — A woman getting some exercise last week at Manning Mill Park reported the passenger window of her car was shattered and her purse was stolen from the vehicle.

A deputy with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the park at 163 Manning Mill Road in Adairsville and met with the 59-year-old victim.

The woman said she was walking on the trail at the park before returning to her Toyota to find her passenger window had been smashed. She looked inside the car and noticed her purple purse, which was positioned in the passenger seat, was now missing, according to an incident report released by the sheriff's office.

The Vera Bradley handbag contained the victim's driver's license, about $22 in cash and debit cards. No witnesses or suspects were mentioned in the report, but the victim did say a basketball game or practice was taking place at the gym at the time of the incident.
