Deadline Fast Approaching for Dacula Memorial Day Parade

The deadline for participating in the 23rd Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade in Dacula is fast approaching. The deadline for getting your entry into this year’s parade is Friday, May 20, 2016. Your completed entry form and fee (if applicable) must be postmarked no later than midnight on May 30, 2016 to be accepted. No Exceptions! The parade entry form is available at www.daculamemorialday.com
The theme for this year’s parade is “Faces of Honor”.
The 23rd Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade theme pays honor to those men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice with their service to our country. Their families will never forget them and it is also right that we should remember them too.

The parade steps off promptly at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine, on Monday, May 30, 2016 from Hebron Baptist Church located at 202 Hebron Church Road and proceeds down Dacula Road toward historic downtown Dacula.
The 23rd Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade is one of the most high profile events in the metro Atlanta area on Memorial Day. It is important that we take this opportunity to honor the sacrifices made by thousands of Americans who died guarding our precious liberties and way of life. Our goal is to promote patriotism and see that today’s youth understand the significance, importance and meaning of Memorial Day.

Founded by Marvin Atherton, the Dacula Memorial Day parade has been a proud tradition in Dacula since 1994. The parade has grown over the years and remains the only Memorial Day parade in the metro Atlanta area, largest in the state of Georgia and one of the largest in our nation with more than 150 units participating in the parade each year. More than 10,000 spectators line Dacula’s streets to watch the parade.
