77-Year-Old Punched In Face At Gwinnett County Kroger: Police

DACULA, GA—Gwinnett County Police are looking for the person who they say punched a 77-year-old man in the face as he walked into a grocery store in Dacula.

According to WSB-TV, the victim, who did not want to be identified by name, said on Jan. 23 around 4:30 p.m. he pulled up, saw someone parked in a fire lane, and on his way inside the store, he said, “You're not supposed to park here.”

That's when the elderly man said he was punched in the face. The incident happened at the Kroger on Braselton Highway, the TV station reported.

Police told the TV station that surveillance video shows a woman, who was in the parked car in the fire lane outside, go in the store, walk up to the victim and say something.

Officials said a man who was with her then assaulted the victim.

“And the next thing I know, this jerk comes around and just cold-cocks me right flat on the floor,” he told WSB-TV.
