- Dacula native Shaka Heyward has been named to the 2022 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List. Heyward is a senior at Duke studying evolutionary anthropology. He has had 148 career tackles while playing with Duke. The trophy winner will be announced during a special banquet at The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California on Dec. 11, 2022. - Gwinnett County Public Schools is currently investigating an incident that involved a group of students trespassing on another school's grounds with a firearm. According to a letter sent to parents by Mill Creek High School Principal Jason Lane, the students entered the school and were apprehended by school officials.
