HGTV Visits Home in Dacula’s Apalachee Farms

A Dacula couple may soon make an appearance on Home and Garden Television (HGTV).

Apalachee Farms residents Joe and Carole Dominick opened their home to High Noon Entertainment to allow the company to film scenes for a possible HGTV series tentatively titled “Renoventures.” The series will feature homebuyers who visit other homes to get renovation ideas.

The episode filmed in Dacula follows a Suwanee couple who bought a foreclosed home and are working with a designer to plan the renovation. High Noon Entertainment contacted local RE/MAX Realtor Lisa Harris and asked her to suggest homes with upgrades the featured buyers might consider. Harris suggested several homes including the Dominick’s. After viewing several houses, the production company chose to feature the Dominick’s home and spent three hours filming upgrades in the family room, kitchen and master bath.

According to Harris, the Dominicks enjoyed the experience and praised the camera crew for their professionalism and courtesy.

Harris, who is also an Apalachee Farms resident, expressed her gratitude to the Dominicks for opening their home to the production company.

“We are very proud of all the hard work that Mr. and Mrs. Dominick put into their home,” Harris said in a released statement. “It is proud homeowners like this that make Apalachee Farms stand above similar communities in Gwinnett County.” 

High Noon Entertainment has produced “House Hunters” and “HGTV’d” for HGTV. The airdate has not yet been announced.
