The foundation was started by football defensive coordinator Tommy Scott and his wife Stephanie in memory of their son, Wyn. Wyn Scott was born prematurely in 1999. Complications led to a brief but memorable life for the Scotts' only son. The scholarship provides for students that showed exceptional strength, determination, and character...the same character traits exemplified by their son in his brief 25 days of life.

The primary source of funding for the Scholarships was where specific local restaurants donate 10 percent of the proceeds on Wednesdays during a given month to The Win for Wyn Foundation. The Dacula Community's support of Win for Wyn Wednesdays is greatly appreciated.
