Archer High Tigers Advance to Class 6A Semifinals
Archer is the only Gwinnett County teams still alive in the large-school classification.
Archer High School advanced to its first state football semifinals by defeating Hillgrove 56-13 Friday night in the Georgia High School Association playoffs.
It was the 10th straight win for the Tigers, who started the season 0-3, then bounced back to win the top seed from Region 8.
Archer will host Etowah next week in the state semifinals. Etowah beat Newton 43-29 Friday night. Etowah is the No. 2 seed from Region 5.
