Armed Man Robs 2 Stores, Explains His Child is Sick: Police
Gwinnett Police are looking for the suspect who allegedly robbed two businesses on the same day last week.
Gwinnett Police are looking for a man who they say robbed two stores on the same day last week, explaining that he didn’t have enough money to treat his sick daughter.
The robberies were reported Friday, July 10, and in both incidents the suspect mentioned having a sick child.
The lead investigator assigned to the cases feels one suspect is responsible for both crimes.

Surveillance photos were released Wednesday in hopes the public can help identify the suspect.
Police said the suspect first robbed One Stop Cleaners on Dogwood Road near Lawrenceville between 10:50 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Details (from GCPD): The suspect originally came in and asked the employee if the business was hiring. The employee told him no, and the suspect left. He returned a few minutes later wearing a mask. He pointed a gun at the employee and demanded the money. During the robbery, he told the employee that his kid was sick. After he got a small sum of money, he ran out of the store and was seen removing his mask.
The second robbery occurred around 6 p.m. at the Little Caesar’s on Stone Mountain Highway.
Details (from GCPD): The suspect originally came in and told the employee that he was in a bad situation. He said that his daughter was sick and he didn’t have money to treat her. He then lifted up his shirt to display a handgun. The suspect demanded money from the cash register. The employee fled to the back of the business, and the suspect fled through the front door with no money.

- Hair Color: Blonde
- Clothing: (based on surveillance) tan carpenter pants, black Converse sneakers, black hoodie (sleeves rolled up, hood covering head), ball cap under hoodie (possibly camo), sunglasses with silver or white frames
