Dacula Dolphins Congratulate Local Junior Peachtree Participants

Swimming is much like track clubs and teams in that you train, socialize and enjoy many activities together.

Yesterday many children throughout the Atlanta area traveled to Piedmont Park in the early hours of the morning to participate in the annual Peachtree Junior race. This race by the Atlanta Track club is designed to be a family friendly event that allows children between the ages of 7 and 12 to experience the thrill of being a part of events like the Peachtree road race. The event is very well organized, and is held with in the park so the children are maintained in a well supervised area. The event also holds a 50 meter dash for children 6 and under.

The age group the Peachtree Junior targets makes up a considerable portion of the Dacula Dolphin swim team. Swimming is much like track clubs and teams in that, you train, socialize and enjoy many activities together both have a concentration of individual with an extension of team relays that children use participant in their events. Team member help each other break the walls and obstacles that come in your way, give encouragement in both meets and practice. Running and Swimming also are sports that are easily transferred from childhood to adulthood, thus providing then with an activity base that can last them a lifetime. The Dacula Dolphin Swim team’s children participate in many sports, which is appropriate for the age group that our team works with, that is why the Dolphins act as an introduction to the sport of swimming

A combined run club from Dacula and Mulberry Elementary have one of the largest run clubs that participate in the event, as well as clubs from Alcova, Fort Daniel to name a few. Some of the Teachers, Parents, and children meet before sun rise to travel together to go to the meet. Many of the Dacula Dolphin children have family and friends that participate in the event, so we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of those who took part in the event, and a special thank you for the coaches, parents and other adults that help these children.
