Nope, not about weather this time! :-) I really do have other interests and this is one of them!
A new road race facility is now open near Dawsonville called Atlanta Motorsports Park. It looks like this is going to be a very nice race track when it totally completed. There is still a lot of construction going on but the Atlanta Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) had several events going on up there yesterday, including a limited entry autocross. Since this was held on the track, registration was limited to those with more experience.
The track surface was wonderful compared to what we normally run on here in Atlanta, and the elevation changes were awesome! While the camera doesn't convey the steepness of the hill we started on, suffice it to say that when I was working as starter, my water bottles would not stand up and kept trying to roll down the hill. It was steep going down and steep going back up!

Anyway, here are a few videos from three of my runs. We got six runs total. My 5th and 6th runs were within a few tenths of a second from each other but the 6th was my fastest and the fastest overall run of the event. The first run was a little too fast and I got off the track for a moment (Hey! That's what Jeeps are for!).
