The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of the southeast and all of Georgia in a Slight Risk area for severe weather for Thursday.

This means that the GOES-East satellite will begin Rapid-Scan Operations in order to monitor and provide data for monitoring the severe weather in the east half of the country. 

Make sure that you are monitoring the weather on Thursday.
