Unsure Whether Your Child Is Ready for a Swim League?

The Dacula Dolphin Swim team has many years of experience introducing children to the sport of competitive swimming. Contact us http://daculadolphins.swim-team.us/

The Dacula Dolphin Swim team has many years of experience introducing children to the sport of competitive swimming. Hundreds of children have begun their swimming careers with the Dacula Dolphins.  This swim team purpose is to introduce swimmers to competitive swimming, improve the swimming skills of the participants and enhance their general physical wellbeing with a focus on doing their best and showing good sportsmanship. The most important part of any sport is that the child enjoys the activity, develops new friendships, and has fun.

The Dolphins participate in the North Georgia Swim League. The purpose of the North Georgia Swim League is to establish an organized competitive swimming program In North Georgia that will offer the following benefits:

  • A structured summer athletic activity for the children in each participating community.
  • Focus the goals of existing summer competitive swimming programs by establishing the definite aims of preplanned dual and league meets.
  • Promote the sport of competitive swimming in North Georgia.
  • Provide opportunities for each participant to develop a positive self‐image.

The Dolphins adhere to the NGSL philosophies and strives to encourage the children to do their best. Ribbons, and medals are part of any competitive swim program, but the Dolphins also recognize individual development, personal growth. Some of our older children have volunteered to assist younger swimmers. Our young swimmers have gone on to compete on high school teams, and a few even participate as Jr Coaches.

  • Swimmers the age of six and under need to swim across the pool with limited assistance.
  • Swimmers the age of 10 and under must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted.
  • Swimmers the age of 18 and under must be able to swim 50 yards unassisted.

These requirements are mainly for the safety of your children. If your swimmer does not know all of the strokes, the Dolphins will introduce the other strokes to them. Swimmers 6 and under work mainly with the basic free style and backstroke. If your child is more advanced, the coaches may recommend them to practice with an older group.

Our goal is that all of our children have fun, learn, and continue to grow in a sport that they can carry with them for a lifetime. We have extended our registration period until May 31.

If you would like to register go to http://daculadolphins.swim-team.us/  in the upper right hand corner you should see the menu item to start the registration process. If you have any questions or would like for one of our coaches to evaluate your swimmer, please contact us at daculadolphinsswimboard@gmail.com.
