Updated: 2 Found Shot to Death at Gwinnett Apartment Complex

Police were on the scene Monday at the Wesley Herrington Apartment Complex.

Police were investigating a double homicide Monday morning at a Gwinnett County apartment complex.

Gwinnett Police said in a news alert that two men have been found at a unit in the Wesley Herrington Apartment Complex at 1400 Herrington Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The homicides took place in apartment 5302, police said.

This is an area just south of Ga. 316 and east of the Gwinnett Place Mall area.

Officers responded to a person shot call around 9:50 a.m., police said.

“When the first responding officers arrived on scene, they discovered two deceased black males inside the apartment,” Gwinnett Police Cpl. Michele Pihera said in an email. “Once the officers determined that no other victims or suspects were inside the apartment, they exited the crime scene to await the arrival of our Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit. We are investigating this incident as a Double-Homicide.”

Detectives were still on scene as of 3:30 p.m., Pihera said.
