A Buford High School Wrestler Died In A Car Crash, GoFundMe Launched
The teen was in an accident near the intersection of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Little Mill Road.
GWINNETT COUNTY — A Buford High School wrestler died Monday night in a car accident. His family has started a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $20,000.
Aaron Kirkland would have turned 17 Thursday, wrote his cousin Abigal Kirkland on the GoFundMe page. As of Wednesday, more than $19,000 has been raised. The family plans to use some of the money to fund a memorial service and donate to a scholarship or youth group in Aaron’s name.
WSB-TV reported that the Buford wrestler was in a car accident Monday close to 9 p.m. near the intersection of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Little Mill Road.

“Aaron was my cousin, my favorite might I add,” wrote his cousin Abigail. “He had a wonderful spirit, kind heart, and he was amazing at sports.”
According to the high school’s social media post, Aaron had placed 4th in state last year at 195lbs.
