Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® to Host Splash of Hope 5K Benefiting Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children's Shelter

Family-friendly race on Aug. 22 aims to raise $10,000 for local families experiencing homelessness

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — The Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® (NAMAR) is inviting runners, walkers and community members to make a difference during the Splash of Hope 5K on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Little Mulberry Park in Dacula. The family-friendly fundraiser aims to raise $10,000 for Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children's Shelter, helping provide housing and supportive services for mothers and children experiencing homelessness.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m., with check-in opening at 7:30 a.m. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to run or walk the course, which features splash zones designed to keep participants cool while supporting a meaningful cause. The Splash of Hope 5K is also an official qualifier for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, giving runners an opportunity to earn a qualifying time while helping local families experiencing homelessness.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children's Shelter, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping mothers and children experiencing homelessness achieve long-term stability through transitional housing and comprehensive support services. Every registration and donation will help advance the organization's mission of empowering families to build brighter futures.

Registration is $35, and participants are encouraged to invite friends, family and coworkers to join them in supporting the cause. Individuals who are unable to participate in the race may also contribute by making a donation to Home of Hope.

The Splash of Hope 5K will be held at Little Mulberry Park, 3855 Fence Road NE in Dacula. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and the race starts at 8:30 a.m.
